Ex-Deputy Gov , Salawu Commends Gov Ododo for Appointing Itopa as MD/CEO Graphic Newspaper

The former Deputy Governor of Kogi State Dr Philip Salawu has commended the State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for appointing one of the sons of Ihima Royal District of Ebiraland Yusuf Jimoh Itopa as the new Managing Director of the Graphic Newspaper.
This was contained in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen in Lokoja on Monday.
Chief Philip Salawu who described the appointment as a round peg in a round hole, averred that the New Managing Director of the State’s own newspaper is a man of principle and moral candour who is also full of native wisdom, courage and ethics, noting that Yusuf Jimoh Itopa has the required rigorous intellectual capacity, the patience and the experience to positively change the narrative of the State Media outfit of the information dissemination need of the State
Itopa popularly known as “Press Secretary”, is a man of principle that is full of native wisdom,intellectual rigour, courage and ethics; the very relevant requirements for his new assignment.
I am optimistic that he will do his best to give a face lift to the newspaper and I am also sure that he will continue to be an asset and a pride to Ihima Royal District of Ebiraland, Kogi State and the country as whole
This appointment is particularly a piece of good news to Ihimaland as professionalism, hard-work and discipline are being rewarded.
“We thank the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for this honor bestowed to one of our sons” the Ex-Deputy Governor stated.

Recalled that the new Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer who is also a poet and author served the former Deputy Governor as Chief Press Secretary where he proved his worth as a media professional.
