Manifesto of Jimoh Sefiat Ozavize: Aspiring Councilor for Otutu Ward, Okene Local Government

To the People of Otutu Ward,

I stand before you, not merely as a candidate seeking your vote, but as a passionate advocate for the voices that have often been unheard and the dreams that have been sidelined. My name is Jimoh Sefiat Ozavize, and I am honoured to present myself as your aspiring councilor under the banner of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

A Call for Gender Equality Politics

It is time for a new chapter in our political landscape; a chapter that embraces gender equality and empowers every member of our community. Women in Kogi State have short held the potential to effect transformative change, yet few tested have proven beyond reasonable doubt in their expectations to the electorates. I am contesting to continue that narrative. My commitment is to embody a politics that is not only women but also accountable to the people of Otutu Ward and the greater Okene Local Government.

A Legislative Voice for Our Ward

If given the opportunity to serve, I pledge to be a proactive and responsive voice for our ward. My legislative functions will not only serve the interests of Otutu but will also resonate throughout Okene Local Government. I believe in transparent governance, where the people are informed, engaged, and empowered to partake in the democratic processes that shape our lives.

I commend His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, for his commitment to ensuring that the State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC) creates a fair and level playing field for all voters. This is a pivotal moment for our democracy, and I am grateful for the renewed freedom of association that allows us to engage openly in the political process once again.

A Commitment to Service

I enter this race with a heart full of purpose: to serve my ward and not for my own gain. My vision is rooted in the belief that public office is a sacred trust, and I am dedicated to ensuring that the needs of our community are prioritized above all else.

Gratitude to My Mentors

I would like to take this moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to my mentor, Senator Ahmed Salau Ogembe, for his resolute support and guidance throughout this journey. I also extend my appreciation to Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, whose hope and leadership inspire us all within the PDP in Kogi State. Together, we can forge a path toward progress and prosperity.

Last Part

Let us unite under the banner of power belong to people, gender equality, and empowerment. Together, we can redefine our political landscape and ensure that every voice is heard and every dream is nurtured.

Long live the People’s Democratic Party!
Long live Otutu Ward!
Long live Okene Local Government Area!
Long live Kogi State!
