The Deputy Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, RT Hon. Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola Egwaba, has congratulated His Excellency, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, on his victory at the Supreme Court judgment, affirming him as the duly elected Governor of Kogi State in the November 2023 governorship election.
In a statement, the Deputy Speaker praised the judiciary for its resilience in deepening Nigeria’s democracy through sound judgments. She expressed hope that the verdict would put an end to the unnecessary bickering, distractions, and provocations that followed the 2023 Kogi Governorship election.
Deputy Speaker Egwaba urged the losers to accept the Supreme Court judgment as the will of God and the decision of the majority of Kogites. She congratulated Governor Ododo on behalf of the people and government of Ibaji, praying for sound health and wisdom to pilot the affairs of Kogi State to the zenith, in line with his New Direction Agenda.
