The Okengwe residence of the former Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Momohjimoh Lawal aka Kennedy, was yesterday a beehive of activities as the political leader held a rally to celebrate Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo on his recent victory at the Supreme Court.
Honourable Lawal who noted that Governor Ododo represents the true Kogi Agenda for development, said the will of God, demonstrated in the November 11th governorship election, has been sealed with the flawless pronouncements of the various competent courts of the land.
The former Speaker added that the people of Kogi Central Senatorial District and the entire state will forever remain indebted to God Almighty for granting victories to the Governor, whose human-centred policies have begun to manifest positively in the lives of Kogi people.
“I sincerely encourage you all to remain supportive to Governor Ododo’s administration for the betterment of Kogi State. The terrain is not novel to him because our leader and former Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, has groomed him with the requisite skills to excel in the onerous task of governance,” he said.
During the special prayer sessions, community and religious leaders offered prayers for His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza, CON, the former governor of Kogi State, for his lofty vision for Kogi State.
The religious leaders prayed to God to continually uphold and guide both governors, the past and the incumbent in their political journeys and appreciated them for engendering peace and executing legacy projects.
The victory rally was well-attended by distinguished personalities and dignitaries from across Kogi Central Senatorial District and beyond.
