The Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola Egwaba has congratulated every young female child (Girl Child) in Kogi State and by extension Nigeria as they celebrated their day today the 11th of October, 2024.
Rt. Hon. Egwaba in a congratulatory message to the girl child in Lokoja on Friday described them as the future of women and wish them successful celebration.
She called on government at all levels and corporate organizations in Kogi State and Nigeria in general to invest vigorous on young girls to enable them realize their dreams of becoming women and leaders of tomorrow.
The Deputy Speaker said the theme for International Day of the Girl Child in 2024 “Girls’ vision for the future” serves as a powerful reminder of the pressing need to empower girls to enable them to emerge as leaders of the future.
According to her “Every girl has the right to dream, the power to achieve, and the courage to change the world. A girl with a dream becomes a woman with a vision”
Rt. Hon. Egwaba while commending Hon. Jiritmwa Morgak Goyit the Liaison Officer Kanke Constituency, said the theme of the 2024 International Day of the Girl Child is apt considering the significant roles of the Girl child in the society.
