Today being 23rd October, 2024, the Executive Chairman of Mopamuro LGA, Hon. Ademola Bello Destiny swears in elected officials of the Local Government to begin legislative duties immediately.
The swearing in ceremony takes place at the secretariat legislative chamber, with the Commissioner for oath in attendance, Magistrate Agada, Hon. Olawumi Jacob KGHA member representing Mopamuro State Constituency, party chairman, Hon. Charles Omoyele, Hon. Tope Ajayi aka Santos SSA on Internal Afairs, and other critical party stakeholders.
“As you take this oath of office, I enjoin you to uphold and defend the wellbeing of the people of Mopamuro LG.
This oaths of office should serve as your bond, a reminder of the mandate reposed in you and the duty you owe your respective wards, the Chairman added.
According to KGHA member representing Mopamuro State Constituency, Hon. Olawumi while addressing the local government legislators reiterates their cores functions which includes legislation that will be beneficial to Mopamuro, oversight function which starts with screening of supervisors and other appointees, checkmate the Executive arms to put them on their toes but must work in synergy with the them in order to attract dividends of democry to their respective wards.
However, the house immediately constitutes principal officials through their innagural sitting, which emerged Hon. Olupeka Odunayo Mercy as the leader of the house from ward 06.

Segun Adeleye Majority leader, ward 04.
Johnson Awe Chief whip ward 09.
In a related development, Hon. Destiny desolves the existing transition committee. Appreciates them for their cooperation and relentless efforts in the course of their services.
The Chairman expressed profound appreciation to the good people of Mopamuro LGA for putting up appearances for the swearing in and promised them remarkable transformation and palpable dividend of democracy.
