
The Executive Chairman of Ajaokuta local government, Hon. Haruna OgidoAliyu has charged the newly sworn in Supervisors to be transparent, honest and above board in running the affairs of the council. Hon. Haruna Ogido gave the charge in his address while swearing in the SUPERVISORS at the council secretariat, Adogo. He urged the SUPERVISORS to hit the ground running and not to betray the confidence and trust resposed in them as he Will not condone absenteeism, truancy and indolence in the present administration desire to make positive mark in Ajaokuta local government. The chairman then called for the cooperation of management staff, workers and union leaders to join hands with his administration for the overall progress and development of the local government. Hon. Haruna Ogido commended the Governor of kogi state, His Excellency, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo and other party leaders including the deputy governor, Hon.(Barr) Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem as well as A PC chairman in the local government, Mall. Yusuf Yakubu for their support and called for constructive suggestions and advise for a better Ajaokuta local government. He restated his administration commitment to staff welfare, infrastructural provision as well as respect for traditional rulers in the area. Performing the swearing in, Justice Sikiru Isah warned the SUPERVISORS not to do anything in their official capacities contrary to section 98 of the constitution of the federal Republic of Nigeria as amended and section 24 of the Civil service rules. The Supervisors who swore to oath of allegiance and oath of secrecy and assigned of portfolios by the chairman included: 1. Hon. Sanni Adeiza Muhammed- Education. 2. Hon. Adams Sadiku-Agriculture. 3. Hon. Usman Iboche Ibrahim-Health. 4. Hon. Muktari Abdulmalik- works and housing. 5. Hon. Salami Lamidi-,Budget. Hon. Salhu Zainab-Vice chairman and supervisor for Finance and Hon. Momoh Sanni Salami as Secretary to the local government. Speaking on behalf of the SUPERVISORS, the supervisor for works and housing, Hon. Mukhtar Abdulmalik appreciated the state government and the chairman for their appointment and assured that they will not derail in the task to reposition the local government for better service delivery. He called for cooperation of all and sundry with useful advise to deliver the much needed democratic dividend to the people of the local government. In a remark at the occasion, the APC chairman, Mall. Yusuf Yakubu called for cooperation of all for team work worthy of emulation and warned that he will not condone any division or faction in the party.
