Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo has expressed his heartfelt sorrow over the passing of late Rt. Hon. Enema Paul, describing him as a thorough legislator whose wealth of experience will be missed at the Kogi State House of Assembly.
The Governor who was represented by his Deputy Comrade Joel Salifu during the funeral service of late legislator at Egume in Dekina Local Government Area of the state, extended his condolences to the bereaved family, Egume-Ome descendants Union, Okura constituency and the residents of Dekina Local Government Area.
He offered prayers for the departed soul to find eternal peace and for those left behind to find solace in this irreparable loss.
Governor Ododo prayed to Almighty God to grant his colleagues, friends and the family fortitude to bear the loss.
In his remarks, the Speaker of the House Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf described the late former Deputy Speaker as a man filled with compassion and wisdom, Godly and gentle in all his conduct, noting that the state legislative arm had lost a man that was a voice of reason and dedication.
Rt. Hon. Yusuf who also described the late legislator as a man that exemplified humility and selflessness, added that he left a remarkably impressive legacy that would be indelible in the hearts of members of the Assembly.
The Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola Egwaba who spoke on behalf of the 8th Assembly members, described the late Enema Paul as God fearing man who always stood on the side of truth no matter the situations.
“We will greatly miss his prayers in the 8th Assembly. We will miss his humility and his candid advises he often offered to the Assembly.
“We prayed to God to console us and give us the humility that the late legislator had, to enable us perform our legislative activities. My Honourable Speaker, all of us in the 8th Assembly shared in your pain of losing this enigma who has prove his worth in Kogi State House of Assembly.
“We shared in the pains of the family members, his friends and well wishers and we prayed to God to give the immediate family the fortitude to bear the loss” she said.
The ceremony was graced by the Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf, the Deputy Speaker along with members of the 8th Assembly, National Assembly representatives, Commissioners, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants to the Governor, high-ranking Government officials, relatives, friends, constituents, and well wishers.
The Late Rt. Hon. Enema Paul, who served as the member representing Okura constituency at the State House of Assembly died after a protracted illness at the age of 46. 
He is survived by his wife and three children.
