Ankpa Local Government Chairman Receive Kogi State Controller of Corrections

The Executive Chairman of Ankpa Local Government,Eng Ademu Mohammed yahaya accompanied by the Zonal Security Adviser for the Ankpa Federal Axis,Rt hon Ahmed Mohammed, warmly received the State Controller of Corrections, Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), Kogi State Command, Hajiya Inna Aminu, during her official visit to Ankpa.

The visit, which aimed to strengthen ties between the Correctional Service and local security stakeholders, focused on enhancing security collaboration and addressing key issues related to the administration of correctional facilities in the area.

Speaking during the event, the Chairman welcomed the State Controller and commended her for her dedication to improving the correctional system in Kogi State. He pledged the local government’s full support in initiatives that would enhance rehabilitation programs and ensure better conditions for inmates.

The Zonal Security Adviser also lauded Hajiya Inna Aminu for her proactive leadership, emphasizing the need for a united approach in addressing security challenges in the region. He reiterated his commitment to working closely with the NCoS to promote safety and sustainable peace in the local communities.

In her address, Hajiya Inna Aminu expressed gratitude for the warm reception and outlined her vision for a more effective correctional system. She called for continuous collaboration with local authorities to address challenges such as facility overcrowding and the reintegration of rehabilitated inmates into society.

The meeting concluded with strategic discussions on security improvement and community development initiatives, highlighting the shared commitment to fostering a safer and more inclusive environment.
