Kogi Assemble Confirmed Dr. Olufemi Bolarin As Commissioner

The Kogi State House of Assembly, has screened Dr. Olufemi Bolarin as a Commissioner nominee.

Recalled that the State Government recently established the Ministry of Livestock Development, reason for the screening of the new Commissioner nominee.

Dr. Abolarin hails from Egbe in Yagba West LGA, once served as Commissioner under the administration of former Gov Idris Ichalla Wada between 2012-2016.

The nominee who was screened by the committee of the whole House, and  cleared.
Speaking to Assembly Correspondent shortly after he was confirmed by the lawmakers, the new Commissioner of livestock noted that Kogi State has a great advantage in livestock management.

“Kogi State is one of the very first State in the federation that has taken a proactive step in forming the Ministry of Livestock. It is a big applause to the Governor of Kogi State.

“We will leverage on investors to put on a global standard for livestock development in Kogi State. The ultimate aim of nomadic is extinction, so we have to embrace modern agriculture”he added.
