It was a wonderful, exciting, joyous and historic Sunday, which God had anointed for Ogori and Magongo to be in the lime light of the world, through the unveiling and dedication of the Ọkọ (Ogori) language of the plaque containing the translation of the biblical passage of the tremendously significant baptism of our Lord Jesus Christ by John the Baptist.
As the number Nine (9) plaque from Nigeria, history will forever remind the world of the especial place of the arrival of Christianity to Ogori in 1913. Even as the 3rd oldest community in the old Northern Nigeria to be visited by christianty, Ogori has pleasantly shocked the 220 million
Nigerians in being the 9th wonder of native language translation of Christ’s baptism.
We can only give all the gratitude to God
Almighty (Osibina ebi ekwin) for allowing Ogori to show the world the multi-faceted (spiritual, historical/epochal, socio-cultural and socio-linguistic) blessings the arrival of christianity to our ‘little Bethlehem” has bestowed upon us all.
The Jegede Family and Clan will forever be grateful to all the organisations, groups and individuals who made the event in Israel possible. God recognises everyone of you and will reward you most abundantly.

No one is left in any doubt whatsoever that the God of Ogori has evangelised the world in just a few minutes, through his specially chosen people of OgoriMagongo, at the Baptismal site of the one He has been well pleased with.
In the words of a popular Ọkọ chorus: ‘Ẹkẹnẹ Ẹdẹda siye nẹtọ, ẹna ta ka ganyẹba, ekwite’
