
Provost Dedicates Awards To Gov AbdulRazaq

The Acting Provost of the Kwara State College of Health Technology, Offa, Mallam Jimoh Ibrahim, has dedicated the two prestigious Awards received by the Department of Dispensing Opticianry from the Optometrist and Dispensing Opticianry Registration Board of Nigeria (ODORBN) at the maiden edition of the Eyeball Summit held in Abuja to Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
The Awards were received by Optician Ibrahim Liman Moshood, while one of the staff of the College, Chief Optician Akanbi Olufemi Abdulfatai was recognised as the best health educator in Dispensing Opticianry.
Receiving the Awards from the two staff in his office, the Acting Provost, Mallam Jimoh Ibrahim, announced that he dedicated them to the Visitor to the College, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, (CON), for promoting an enabling environment for teaching, learning and research work in the institution.
He assured that the management of the College would continue to work hard to take the College to greater heights in the comity of professional colleges in Nigeria and beyond.
He said: “His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, (CON), Chairman, Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), known for his visionary leadership and unwavering support for the education sector in the state has made this feat possible.”
According to the Provost, the administration would keep ensuring that its workforce is well galvanised to attain excellence in health education and training, while continuing to connect to global innovations in all its courses and training, optimistic that the College would continue to produce job creators with sound moral content.
For her part, a Senior Lecturer in the health department of the College, Mrs. Christiana Olawumi Bamidele, a core professional and scholar, lauded the Acting Provost, Mallam Jimoh Ibrahim, on the feat, noting that he is fit for the job, while being optimistic that steadfastness and hard work would take the College to a commendable level.
She added: “Kudos to the resourceful College management, staff and stakeholders for working hard to position the College to continue to deliver on its mandate.”
