Kogi State Governor, Alh Usman Ododo has congratulated the former Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Mathew Kolawole on attaining 60 years of age , pointing out that his stabilizing role when Kogi State was about to be turned upside down will not be forgotten .

Governor Usman Ododo , represented by the Special Adviser on Security to the State Government, Rtd Naval Comm Jerry Omodara, made this known during the 60th birthday thanksgiving service of Prince Mathew Kolawole at CAC Oke Igbala ,Kabba.
The Governor who said his labour of love during former Governor Yahaya Bello’s tenure would not be forgotten ,urged Prince Kolawole to continue to use his time and resources to serve the people , saying this is the best time to do more for the people.
The Governor also promised to continue to ensure that dividends of democracy get to all the nooks and crannies of Kogi State , noting that township road projects have started in Aiyetoro, Mopa and Egbe towns .
The Governor who also disclosed that ” he holds the civil servants in high esteem and will continue to prioritize their welfare ” ,prayed God to grant the celebrant many happy returns and for his heart desires to be granted
Speaking, the celebrant , Prince Mathew Kolawole who rendered many songs to appreciate God’s favour , expressed appreciation to Governor Usman Ododo for his leadership role and former Gov Yahaya Bello who ensured he had good records of achievements during his seven years Speakership.

He said he would for ever be grateful to former Governor Bello for all his support during his tenure.
Kolawole also expressed appreciation to the SSG whom he said people had wanted to throw spanners in to their relationship but God smoothened it .

He thanked the Kabba/Bunu/ Ijumu representative in the National Assembly, Hon Salman Idris amongst many others who donated to the development of the church.
