*An Evening of Tributes*

The irreparable loss of Dr Tony Durojaiye ALABI, an illustrious and patriotic Ogorian, who was a friend to so many and a committed member of the League of Ogori Professors, is painful and still like a mirage.
While all of us continue to mourn and are cognisant that we all have an unavoidable date with death, it is fitting to hold a memorial which Tony copiously deserves on his exeat.
It is therefore the wish of the huge array of friends and the totality of the membership of the LOP to immortalise his name and have recorded the good deeds of one of us who has answered the irreversible call of transition to the other side of eternity.
The *Evening of Tributes* is to give Tony’s friends, fellow members of the LOP, former colleagues, contemporaries, age groups and indeed anyone who wishes to participate and physically present tributes in memory of the irreplaceable compatriot, a unique chance to do so.
*Process and Procedure*
The *Evening of Tributes* is a two-hour programme from 3pm to 5pm.
Each tribute should not be more than one page, written to these specifications:
Paper size: A4;
Font: Times New Roman;
Size: 12 points; Margin: 1″ all round. The title should be *bold*, 14 points, centred and not underlined.
Any submission that does not strictly comply with the above specifications will be rejected.
Each person will be given a maximum of 5 minutes to present his/her tribute.
All tributes will be printed, bound into a booklet and presented to the family.

The absolute deadline for submission is midnight of Wednesday, 30 June 2025.
All contributors should arrange to be present at the event. Only those who are physically present will be allowed to read their tributes. Presentation by proxy will be strictly discouraged. Due to time constraints, allowing presentations via electronic means will not be allowed. However, a video conferencing link shall be provided for those wishing to join and watch.
