On Saturday 28th June 2025, Kogi State Deputy Governor, Elder Joel Salifu Oyibo was ably represented by the Kogi State Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola Egwaba, at the reception for the new Zonal Chairman, Hon. Hassan Ogwu. The event also marked the official opening of the zonal party office in Anyigba.
During her address, Rt. Hon. Egwaba emphasized the need for unity and solidarity within the party. She assured all members of continuous support, stating, “The party is for everyone”.
She advised residents of Kogi East to support the All Progressives Congress (APC), highlighting its potential to be a beneficial partnership for the region. She also urged unity and collaboration among Kogi East indigenes to work closely with Hon. Ogwu in advancing the APC’s agenda.
In a direct show of support for the new chairman, she added, “Honorable Hassan, we are here for you, and we will do everything to support you.” She concluded her speech with a strong call for cooperation, urging everyone to “work together in unity.”
In his remarks, Hon. Ogwu pledged to collaborate with all APC members in Kogi East and promised to maintain an open-door policy for effective leadership.
