Sen. Karimi Donates N10m towards building palace of Olu of Oworo.

Sen. Sunday Karimi, Representing Kogi West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has donated the sum of N10m towards the building of the palace of the Olu of Oworo, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Muhammed Bayerohi.

The Senator donated the sum at the fund raising and foundation laying ceremony of the Olu of Oworo’s Central Palace, held at the proposed Palace site in Agabja.

Sen. Karimi described the place of traditional institutions in maintaining peace in their domain as veritable, said with the insecurity challenge the nation is presently facing, explained that collective efforts is needed to support the traditional institution.

The Senator said the place of the people of Agbaja in the socio cultural and economic development of the people of Lokoja, makes it a pride of place for the Olu of Oworo to have a befitting palace, assured of his continued support for the Oworo people and in any area of community development that desire now and at all times.

The Senator tasked the people of Oworo and entire Lokoja LGA on the need to continue to support the administration of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and the APC, explaining that the administration is gradually taking the nation out of the woods.

The Senator described the recent tax reform bill signed into law as commendable, said it will check multiple taxation and protect the poor from being taxed.

Sen. Karimi urged for sustained support for the APC, described the party as one that has the sustained development of the country at heart, maintaining that the pains of today will usher the country to gains of development and prosperity.

Sen. Karimi assured the people of Kogi West of his continued support and effective representation, insisting that in the coming days, he will disburse another N300m as scholarship to support students across the three Senatorial Districts of the State to enable them pursue their education unhindered.

The Senator expressed appreciation with the ongoing construction of the Kabba – Ilorin Road he helped to facilitate, said contractors handling the road had long abandoned the road owing to lack of budgetary allocation.

The Senator promised his modest support to groups and individuals with positive and people oriented projects, explaining that his representation is people centered, promised not to disappoint the people.
