*ECN Partnered with Kogi State to Advance Clean Energy Development*
The Kogi State Government partnered with the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN) to enhance energy access through clean and renewable sources, in alignment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. This commitment was reaffirmed during a working visit by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to ECN’s headquarters in Abuja, where he was received by DG, ECN Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi.
The visit centered on strategic collaboration to accelerate clean energy initiatives, particularly off-grid electricity for underserved communities. Dr. Abdullahi outlined ECN’s mandate, the National Energy Master Plan, and the Renewed Hope Solarization Project, which aimed to deliver solar-powered infrastructure, including streetlights, across Nigeria’s 36 states.
