Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Labour Matters, Comrade Onuh Edoka has called on Kogi East Forum of Senior Special Assistants to the Governor to ensure Unity and work in line with the blueprint of the present administration in the State.
Addressing the Senior Special Assistants who were in his office on a courtesy visit on Friday, Comrade Edoka noted that they were expected to represent the government well in their respective constituencies, explaining that they serve as eyes of the Governor.
The Special Adviser noted that promoting the corporate image of the Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s government was cardinal as they owe it a responsibility to do so in all its entireties. “It is imperative at this point to emphasize on the need for you all to project the image of the administration to the outside world, bearing in mind that this government has the people at heart and has demonstrated so, it is therefore not an over statement to say that the servant leader of Kogi State, Ahmed Usman Ododo has positively affected all facets of the state economy, infrastructurally and even in human capital development”, Edoka stated.
Comrade Edoka advised against disloyalty as they must exhibit one hundred percent loyalty to the administration, stressing that the proper structural build up of the party leadership should not be compromised under any guise, especially as the 2027 general elections draw nearer.
He promised necessary support to the forum activities, adding that they should work hard to earn the trust of the government as well as win the hearts of the people.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Forum and Senior Special Assistant on Students matters, Comrade Isah Emmanuel said the visit was in recognition of Comrade Onuh Edoka’s leadership qualities as an experienced labour leader and grassroots politician with vast wealth of experience.
Comrade Isah Emmanuel said the visit was to seek partnership towards ensuring that the Ododo product could sell well ahead of the 2027 elections, describing such move as a strategic step in a democracy.
He called for the support of the Special Adviser whom he also described as a critical Stakeholder, committed to emancipation of workers and known for his problem solving strategies.
Others in their remarks, said it will no longer be business as usual, assuring that the group would play roles in redefining effective representation in the coming general elections.
“It is not going to be business as usual, this is because when a government has the right people as Representatives, it makes governance easier”, he acclaimed.
Highlight of the visit was special prayer for the Governor and his cabinet members, the Special Adviser and the state at large.
