
The lawmaker representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has commiserated with the family of late Professor Olugbemiro Akerejola.
She also extended her condolences to the people of Ogori-Magongo Local Government Area and the entire Kogi Central, describing the death of the erudite scholar as a huge loss to Kogi Central, Kogi State, and Nigeria at large.
Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan noted that the late professor lived an exemplary life, mentoring many and inspiring them to reach their full potential.
While praying for the peaceful repose of his soul, she urged the family to take solace in the fulfilled and impactful life that Professor Akerejola lived.
Professor Olugbemiro Akerejola, a professor of Science Education, was the former Director-General of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF).
He was born in Ogori, Ogori-Magongo Local Government Area, into the Eminefo Royal Dynasty, he built a sterling career in academia.
He began his journey as an educationist at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and rose to the rank of professor in Veterinary Medicine in 1983, achieving this milestone in his early 30s.
