KOGI STATE GOVERNMENT MOURNS THE PASSING OF DR. ABDUL-GANIYU OBATOYINBO
1. The Government and people of Kogi State have received with deep shock and profound sadness the news of the passing of an illustrious son of the State and distinguished public servant, Dr. Abdul-Ganiyu Obatoyinbo, Administrator and Chief Executive Officer of the Public Service Institute of Nigeria (PSIN).
2. Born in Iyamoye, Ijumu Local Government Area, Dr. Obatoyinbo lived a life of service, excellence, and distinction. From his early career in banking to his sterling contributions in the Federal Civil Service and his visionary leadership at the PSIN, he consistently demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and an uncommon commitment to nation-building.
3. His reappointment as PSIN Administrator by the Federal Government was a testament to his dedication and the remarkable transformation he brought to the Institute. He was a mentor to many, a bridge-builder, and a beacon of inspiration to younger generations who saw the virtues of hard work and patriotism in him.
4. On behalf of the Government and people of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Governor of Kogi State, commiserates with the Obatoyinbo family, the people of Iyamoye, Ijumu Local Government, and indeed the entire nation over this painful loss.
5. We take solace in the legacy of service, knowledge, and values he has left behind, and we pray that the Almighty God grants his soul eternal rest and comforts his family with the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
6. Adieu to a worthy son of Kogi State.
