Fanwo Calls For Unity at the Coronation of Ajugbonjagun of Orokere Amuro

Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo has called for unity as a tool for community transformation and development.

Fanwo made the call at the Coronation ceremony of the Ajugbonjagun of Orokere Amuro, His Royal Highness Oba Michael Arogbonlo, saying for any society to develop, peace and unity are non-negotiable.

“I call on you all to be united. Unity is an enabler of development, therefore, every society must be intentional in fostering peace and unity”, he said.

He expressed confidence in the capacity of the Monarch to ensure a new era of development in the community, urging the Monarch and the Orokere people to continue to support the administration and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo who is already hatching some of his great plans for Mopamuro Local Government Area.

Earlier, the Alamuro of Amuro, His Royal Majesty Engr Alfred Ayedogbon admonished the Ajugbonjagun to lead with the fear of God as well as loyalty to the Government of Kogi State.

He said: “Listen to all counsels but sieve the good from the bad. Our role as royal fathers is to maintain peace and order in our domains. Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo is doing a lot and we have to support him to continue to succeed.

“See everyone is your own and let the development of your community be the most important than any other thing. Be focused and prayerful and God will make your reign a record breaking one in terms of development”.

The event was greeted with fanfare and display of cultural heritage. Dignitaries such as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Cultural Integration, Hon. David Sunday Moses, Senior Special Assistants to the Governor, Hon. Charles Omoyele, Hon. Sunday Ishola, Hon. Sunday Paul and Hon. Obasun Samuel as well as Permanent Member 1 at the State Health Insurance Agency, Hon. Jacob Abraham as well as Hon
Sogo Williams , Hon. Oladele, Hon. Bola Omoniwa, Hon. Femi Iroja, Hon. Dele Adekolade and other community and political leaders graced the event.
