Cleric lifts 150 tertiary students with N50,000 each in Kwara

The General Overseer of the House of Prayer Assembly, Basilica, Ilorin, the Kwara state capital, Pastor Joseph Omorinoye, has donated cash gifts of N50,000 each to no fewer than 150 students present in the church service on Sunday.
Omorinoye, who during the church service ordered all the students of higher institutions in the service to come out and receive stipends as they are about to resume new academic session, said the gesture is to relieve students and their parents of financial stress ahead of their resumption.
“We are giving out this stipend to support the students as most of them are preparing for new academic sessions.
“Make sure you use the money for the purpose for which it is collected. Manage it and spend wisely.
“We know your parents are trying their best to make you succeed in life. Make sure you don’t disappoint them and remain focused on your studies,” he admonished.
One of the beneficiaries, Godwin Oyeniyi, commended the man of God for the cash gifts and prayed to God to continue to bless him.
“I am happy for the gift and I pray to God Almighty to bless Pastor Omorinoye for always taking care of us,” he said.
Another beneficiary, a Student of Kwara Polytechnic, Fadekemi Adedara, said the cash came at the right time, adding that it would be useful in taking care of her upkeeps in preparation for resumption.
“I’m the happiest girl in town today. It looks like a dream because I have been praying to God and hopeful for support and it happened miraculously.
“God will continue to bless Pastor Omorinoye. Baba always surprises us when we least expected it,” she said.
