
Former Kogi State House of Assembly member representing Yagba West Hon Aderoke Aro has expressed his heartfelt condolence Egbe community over the unfortunate incident that occurred on Wednesday where three police officers and two members of vigilante group were killed by unknown gunmen.
The former lawmaker in a sympathy message he personally signed and issued to newsmen in Lokoja, described the action of the assailants as barbaric and inhuman act.
While sympathizing with the community, relations of the police officers and members of vigilante group involved in the sad incident, Hon Aro urged the people of Egbe to exercise patient, assuring that the state government will ensure that the perpetrators of the heinous act are apprehended and brought to book to serve as deterrent to others.
“I am assuring you that these unknown gunmen will be trailed until security agents arrest them where ever they might hide themselves.
“We will not fold our arms while innocent citizens are being attack, kidnapped and killed. We will continue to call on government to re-stratigize its security architecture so that such ugly incident does not happen again in our community”.
He called on the people of Egbe community to furnish security agencies with useful and credible information that will assist them in tackling security challenges in the area.
