Kogi West Senator, Sunday Steve Karimi, to bag NUJ Award of Excellence.
The Kogi State Council, Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, has nominated Sen. Sunday Karimi, Kogi West Senatorial District for an award of Excellence.
The award is in recognition of his outstanding representation of the people of Kogi West Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
The nomination also followed the giant strides witnessed under his representation in the areas of infrastructure development and in providing quality legislative engagement.
Furthermore, the award is in recognition of his invaluable contributions to the people of Kogi West, particularly, towards improving the well-being of the people through regular empowerment.
The recognition and award is to be presented and unveiled to him at the Grand finale of the 2025 Kogi NUJ Press Week with the Theme: “Kogi State’s Solid Minerals: How Media Can Drive Development”.
The program is scheduled to hold at the EdgeDrive Hotel Lokoja, 25th September 2025 at 10:00am.
His Excellency, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, Kogi State Executive Governor, would serve as the Special Guest of Honour at the Press Week Grand finale.
His Royal Majesty, the Ohimegye Igu Kingdom, Alhaji Saidu Akawu Salihu would serve as the Royal father of the day.
