The Kogi State Council, Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, has nominated the Vice Chancellor, Prince Abubakar Audu University Anyigba, Prof. Marietu Ohunene Tenuche for an award of Excellence.
The award is in recognition of her outstanding repositioning of the Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba.
The nomination also followed the giant strides witnessed under her leadership in the areas of infrastructure development, providing quality teaching and learning environment in the PAAU, Anyigba.
Furthermore, the award is in recognition of her invaluable contributions in particular to improved security on campus, sports development and introduction of several courses leading to PAAU, Anyigba, becoming a centre of excellence.
The recognition and award is to be presented and unveiled to her at the Grand finale of the 2025 Kogi NUJ Press Week with the Theme: “Kogi State’s Solid Minerals: How Media Can Drive Development”.
The program is scheduled to hold at the EdgeDrive Hotel Lokoja, 25th September 2025 at 10:00am.
His Excellency, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, Kogi State Executive Governor, would serve as the Special Guest of Honour at the Press Week Grand finale.
His Royal Majesty, the Ohimegye Igu Kingdom, Alhaji Saidu Akawu Salihu would serve as the Royal father of the day.
