The Kogi State Council, Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, has nominated Hajia Dr. Ramatu Tijani Aliyu, Former Minister For State, FCT, for an award of Excellence.
The award is in recognition of her performances in ensuring Women Empowerment, Emancipation and Community Development.
The nomination also followed her giant strides witnessed in the areas of improvement of the infrastructure in the Federal Capital Territory under her name stewardship.
Furthermore, the award is in recognition of her invaluable contributions to the people of Lokoja, particularly women and children, in her efforts aimed at improving their well-being, through regular empowerment and support.
The recognition and award is to be presented and unveiled at the Grand finale of the 2025 Kogi NUJ Press Week with the Theme: “Kogi State’s Solid Minerals: How Media Can Drive Development”.
The program is scheduled to hold at the EdgeDrive Hotel Lokoja, 25th September 2025 at 10:00am.
His Excellency, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, Kogi State Executive Governor, would serve as the Special Guest of Honour at the Press Week Grand finale.
His Royal Majesty, the Ohimegye Igu Kingdom, Alhaji Saidu Akawu Salihu would serve as the Royal father of the day.
