Ankpa, Kogi State,
In a bid to bolster security coordination and enhance crime-fighting efforts, the Zonal Security Adviser for Ankpa Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed, has convened a strategic interface briefing with all security agencies operating across Ankpa, Olamaboro, and Omala Local Government Areas.
The high-level meeting, held earlier this week, aimed at harmonizing inter-agency synergy and fostering stronger collaboration among security stakeholders in the zone. Speaking during the engagement, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed emphasized the urgent need for united action, intelligence sharing, and proactive strategies to tackle security challenges in the area.
“This interface is necessary to create a unified approach in combating crime, especially as we align with the vision of His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, who remains committed to ensuring the safety of lives and property across Kogi State,” he stated.
The briefing brought together heads and representatives from the Nigerian Police Force, Department of State Services (DSS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), local vigilante groups, and other key security outfits.
Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed lauded the efforts of the agencies so far but urged them to deepen cooperation, particularly through regular joint patrols, community intelligence gathering, and swift response mechanisms.
The meeting is part of a broader initiative being implemented in line with Governor Ododo’s renewed agenda to sustain peace and security as a foundation for socio-economic development in the state.
