The annual Ebira Christian Unity Fellowship (ECUF) for 2025 Ebira Bible Day took place at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Ökéngwé, on Saturday, 25/10/2025.

The occasion which was chaired by Chief Sir Barnabas Ojiah, the Eyize of Ebiraland, was an opportunity to deliver a thought provoking speech at his opening address on the need for Christians in Ebiraland to actively participate in politics.

It was a Clarion call by the Eyize of Ebiraland on Ebira Christians to be actively involved as participants, not onlookers in politics. The Royal Father posits that Christians should see politics as a channel of evangelism and participation in governance, to take away the mentality of the so-called dirty part of politics.

The Eyize also commended the Kogi State government under the Chief Servant, HE, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for the peaceful religious harmony in Ebiraland and the state in general.

Chief Ojiah further admonished the entire Anebira to come out enmass to be registered in the ongoing voter registration exercise by INEC.

The occasion, which drew large participants from all Christian denominations in Ebiraland, was also used to launch a N150 million EBIRA Bible Review project.

Chief Barnabas then appealed to all God loving people to donate generously towards the EBIRA Bible Review project as it will promote and deepen the understanding of Ebira language.

The occasion featured, gospel song renditions and donations towards the EBIRA Bible Review project.
