Arc Nathaniel Orayen Mosisuga, is not a stranger and new person to me and to Ogori Magongo as a community.
Born and breed in Ogori and hailed from Ogori Magongo Local government.
I have known him from our time together at the Community Comprehensive High School.
He was two years my senior, though, that set was my original set, because most of the members of his class, including my elder sister Helen were my school and class mates in St Andrew primary school Ogori.
We’re also in the same Fellowship, Fellowship of Ogori Christian Youth (FOCY) was the spiritual ground where we all came out from.
The Fellowship was a forceful spiritual revival ground that gave us spiritual covering while growing up as a young man.
Orayen was a brilliant school boy, who all through his days in secondary school was about the best student, he eventually became our headboy. A position he held in high honour.
In our days in school, you are not recognised and trusted with such position if you ar not brilliant with academics and leadership quality.
Orayen, became a household name in the community, because of his intelligence, brilliance and leadership attributes.
Little wonder, he graduated from the University of Nigeria Nsukka with first class Honour in Architecture.
For Orayen, it was not all about brilliance and intelligence, but his love and care for the people.
You dont need to know him, before he can render a helping hand to you.
Many Churches and Mosques in his home town has largely benefitted from his magnanimities.
Widows, Orphans, less privileges have also in one way or the other benefitted massively from his good gestures.
School fees of many i cannot mentioned were paid, even to the university level.
One of our juniors in secondary school, graduated as a pharmacist, unfortunately, she became sick and could not go on with the youth service.
It was a very tough battle for this young graduate and her family. This challenge put a heavy demand on the finance of the family.
On hearing that a young graduate was in that condition, arc Nath quickly stepped in and was of immense help to her, providing her routine medications monthly.
This was just one of the many good deeds of architecture Nathaniel Orayen.
He is a man who will not listen to a third party, before rendering his little widows myth to anyone who is in need of it.
8 years ago, I told him to vie for chairmanship of the local government. He did not even allowed me to finish my speech when he told me to stop the joke.
Long before this, I had seen this quality of leadership in him. I have always known that if the opportunities are there, Orayen will serve the people and not disappoint.
I was with all joy, when few months ago, he called to inform me, that he was going into politics and will vie for the position of the chairman in our local government in the next local government election.
I immediately shouted and reminded him of what I told him several years ago.
I can bet it and will say it loudly, without any fear of contradictions, that if Orayen is given this opportunity, Ogori Magongo will be better for it.
He is a man of the people, he has built a very massive network, not by any other means but by his good character and quality of humility and servant leadership.
No other person, Orayen is the man to beat.
He is the best man for this job. I know it took a whole lot to convince him to come and serve his people, in a larger platform, such as the local government.
I also know that once given the opportunity and Mandate, he will not disappoint.
I am most happy, because the party under which he is seeking for this position is the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC.
I wish to appeal to our performing governor and equally assure his excellency, that Arc Nathaniel Orayen Mosisuga, will not only protect the interest of the Governor Ododo and his admistration Vision of making Kogi an enviable state, he will restore the local government to a dominant APC stronghold in the entire state.
We will be behind him, we will make sure he work very closely with our governor and all APC stake holders in Ogori and Magongo to deliver the dividends of democracy.
