
Kogi Deputy Speaker attends workshop, calls for commitment to end Gender-Based Violence
The Deputy Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola Egwaba, was among key stakeholders who participated in a One-Day Workshop on the Sustained Fight Against Gender-Based Violence in Kogi State.
The workshop was organized by the Directorate of Gender-Based Violence, Ministry of Justice, in partnership with the Protect the Child Foundation.
The workshop focused on deepening collaboration among institutions and advocates commitments to ending all forms of gender-based violence.
The programme also provided an avenue to review existing strategies and strengthen coordinated action for justice, protection, and prevention.
In her remarks, Rt. Hon. Egwaba reaffirmed the Assembly’s unwavering commitment to supporting laws and policies that safeguard the rights and dignity of women, children, and all vulnerable persons, while calling for collective responsibility in building a safer and more just society.
