The Minority Leader of Kogi State House of Assembly who represents Yagba East State Constituency , Hon Idowu Ibikunle has defected from African Democratic Congress ( ADC) to the ruling All Progressives Congress.
Speaker of the State Assembly, Rt Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf announced this on the floor of the House during plennary sitting.
Rt Hon Yusuf disclosed that the Minority Leader said he defected APC in view of the people oriented projects and the good governance of of Governor Usman Ododo
The Speaker also announced the defections of Hon Bode Ogunmola , member representing Ogori/ Magongo State constituency from the People’s Democratic Party to APC and Hon Sunday Daku who represents Bassa State Constituency (PDP) to APC.
According to the Speaker, the two state legislators also defected to the ruling party in view of the crisis rocking their else while party, adding that they could not do otherwise but join the party,APC whose Governor is loved by the citizens for good performance.
