

In a warm and highly symbolic display of respect, unity, and community engagement, the Accountant General of Kogi State, Chief Dr. Habibat Oyiza Tijjani Onumoko, paid a courtesy visit to the former Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Momohjimoh Lawal, at his residence in Okengwe-Ehi, Okene Local Government Area.
The visit, which attracted the attention of community members and well-wishers, reflected the deep bond of mutual respect and the shared commitment both leaders have toward the progress of Ebiraland and Kogi State at large. It also highlighted the cordial relationship between past and present public office holders, reinforcing the spirit of cooperation essential for strengthening governance and community development.
Chief Dr. Habibat was warmly received by Rt. Hon. Momohjimoh Lawal, who expressed sincere appreciation for the thoughtful visit. Their engagement created an opportunity for meaningful discussions on community development, public service, and the continuous pursuit of peace and unity within Okene LGA.
In her remarks, Chief Dr. Habibat commended the former Speaker for his notable contributions to legislative development in Kogi State and his lasting impact on governance. She acknowledged his statesmanship, dedication to public service, and his role as a respected elder whose wisdom remains invaluable to the growth of the community. She also praised him for his unwavering support for the Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo–led administration.
She further emphasized the need to strengthen relationships across different generations of leaders, noting that such unity is essential for achieving sustainable development. Engaging with seasoned leaders like Rt. Hon. Momohjimoh Lawal, she remarked, fosters collaboration, deepens understanding, and upholds the values of unity and respect within the Ebira nation.

He also applauded Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s leadership qualities, describing them as “second to none,” and offered prayers for long life and prosperity for the Governor and his family. He affirmed that Governor Ododo’s continuity in 2027 is non-negotiable by God’s grace.
