The immediate past Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Matthew Kolawole has denied ever compiling All Progressive Congress (APC) Congress list for anybody or group.
In a press statement issued on Monday and made available to newsmen in Lokoja, Prince Kolawole said those behind the rumour are enemy of progress who are out to tarnish my image at all cost.
According to him, he knows how the system works and this his 12 years as member of the party and is 100% committed and loyal to the former governor of the state, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, Governor Ahmed Ododo and the party.
“Am in charge of my ward and I have total control, is sad that some people are trying to tarnish my name by blackmailing me. The God I serve will fight them one by one.
They should look for something else to do and stop parading false rumour that am compiling APC Congress list for somebody
“No amount of blackmail will stop me from working for the former governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and my governor Alhaji Ahmed Ododo.
Those behind the rumour should desist from it because APC is one in Kabba-Bunu constuency.
“Am working round the clock to see that governor Ododo is re-elected for second term come 2027. In every of my political activities I campaign for Alhaji Ahmed Ododo and also tell the people his achievements since he came on board as elected Governor of Kogi State.
Am an appointee in this administration I see no reason somebody somewhere will just cook rumour to blackmail me before my Principal. Such rumour will never weigh me down by the grace of God. Am very focus and determine to see that APC succeed in the coming general election by the grace of God.
