Kogi Assembly Confirms Business Magnet Secretary to Yagba East Local Government
Kogi State House of Assembly has confirmed the nomination of two nominees as Secretary to Yagba East and West Local Government Areas.
The screening of the nominees for Yagba East, Joshua Dare and Kayode Olutayo John as Secretary to Yagba West Local Government Area was put on hold in December last year due to unforeseen circumstance.
The nominees were asked to take a bow and leave after in view of their contributions to the development of their respective Local Government.
Speaking, the Secretary of Yagba East, Mr. Joshua Dare promised to contribute meaningfully to the development of the Local Government.
In another development, Governor Yahaya Bello has transmitted a bill to establish Kogi State Erosion and Watershed Management Agency, NEWMAP to the State House of Assembly.
The Speaker, Prince Matthew Kolawole who read the letter of the Governor on the floor of the House said the bill when passed into law will give a legal framework for NEWMAP to perform better.
