In the quiet of my sitting room, I told my friend that I am going to pick a pen and write about the sad and retrogressive burning issue of ingratitude of some people to the credible achievement of Hon. (Lawal) at the National Assembly. And here I am with a piece of my mind.
I ask again, for all the hate of the wailers has against the People’s Honourable, the little he has done for the people of Ajaokuta local government, Eganyi district, in particular, in the area of human and infrastructural development in his seven years in office, a credible achievement than his predecessors, is enough for gratitude.
For me, the current political climate in Ajaokuta local government, has been a source of concern. There is a mysterious aura surrounding the forthcoming 2023 National Assembly election in 
Ajaokuta local government area; the emosions, the political bickery, the intrigues and the conspiracy, are more than meet the eyes.
Hon. Lawal’s brand of politics has raised the issue positively affecting the common people to the burner of the development agenda, his political Ideology, just same as our political Legends.
It should be noted that Hon. Lawal is a man who has undoubtedly established himself as an astute and seasoned politician with influence spread across the local government. Since ventured into partisan politics, despite the unholy political bickering in the area, he remains popular because he is focused, consistent and disposed to his people. In Ajaokuta local government today, he has been a pivotal figure with large political followers. He has a ‘well-oiled’ political structures in the area.
One important strong selling point for Hon. Lawal Idirisu, is the agitation by portion of some political pundits in the area who are wooing him for his Third Term re-election into the Lower Chamber of the National Assembly, come 2023, to consolidate on his credible achievement so far, hence he is seen as a liberal, tested, trusted, experienced and committed to the growth of welfare of his people.
The people further believe that House of Representatives election and representation is never for political apprentice but requires experience hands of a tested and trusted politicians, and one with widely accepted across the board, due to his past antecedent of philanthropic goodwill and credible legislative achievement.
There is no way House of Representatives contenders are being mentioned in the area that Hon. (Alh.) Lawal Idirisu would not be mentioned and even top the list. He is a sort of enigma. The mere mention of his name, ‘Alhaji Lawal’, it sent shivers down the spines of other contenders in the area.
The federal legislator, is a courageous politician who cannot be cowed or blackmailed into shying away from the zeal to influence development to his people. The earlier Hon. Lawal’s political enemies and the wailers, and their band of rabble rousers come to terms with this enrerprising young man, to develop our community, the better for their andrenaline.
