The Gbagyi Community in Kogi LGA have defected from the PDP to APC.
The defection was led by Godwin Shana who is the youths leader of Gbagyi speaking tribe in Kogi LGA. He led 19 different Associations to the ruling party.
The majority of the Association are from Gegu South Ward, attributed their defection to the good governance delivery by Governor Yahaya Bello.
They said what the Governor is doing positively is enough for them to change their mind from been PDP members.
The decamping ceremony was done shortly after the first maiden of face of Gbagyi coronation where the Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and natural resources donated the sum of N.250m, freezers, hair drying machines to the first and second position respectively.
Other gifts ranging from standing fans and kitchen utensils were presented to the 3rd and 4th position respectively.
The APC chairman of Kogi LGA welcomed Mr. Godwin Shana and his people to APC, commended the effort of Mr Godwin adding that they took the right decision and at the right time, because APC is still the party to beat come 2023.
The commissioner equally donated some cash of money to the decampees and also promised to take more dividends available to their door steps.
