Aro declares 2022 budget defence opened
THE 2022 budget defence by Ministries, Departments and agencies in Kogi State House of Assembly has started with the House Chairman, Budget and Planning, Hon Aderonke Aro declaring the session opened.
Hon Aderonke Aro who doubles as the representative of Yagba west state constituency explained that budget defence was part of the procedures through which governmental institutions are scrutinized as enshrined in the 1999 constitution.
He urged heads of MDAs to give their utmost best so as to make
the defence a success.
Hon Aro prayed God to let the procedure transform Kogi to a better place and declared the session opened.
Similarly, defending the budget of Government House Administration before the House Committee on protocol, privileges , Government House Administration and Deputy Governor’s office ,the DAF Government House:-DMrs Stella Ayodele said new projects were not being executed but completing new ones.
She said Government House was not a revenue generating agency as the reduction in the 2022 capital estimate was basically as a result of figures picked from 2021 budget which suffered poor releases.
In a remark, House Committee Chairman on Government House Administration, Hon Muktar Bajeh called for better performance in the 2022 fiscal year.
