NYSC Kogi State Coordinator Received Director-General of Land Forces Simulation Centre Nigeria (LFSCN) and Commandant Nigeria Army Record, Charri Megumeri Barrack.
To further strengthen already existing cordial working relationship between the NYSC and it’s major collaborating agency in Kogi state, the Director-General of Land Forces Simulation Centre Nigeria (LFSCN) Major General F.O Omoigui accompanied by Commandant Nigeria Army Record, Charri Megumeri Barrack, Lokoja, Major General O.W Ali paid an unscheduled visit to the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Asaya, Kogi State.
They were received on arrival by the NYSC Kogi State Coordinator, Pst. Mrs Mofoluwaso Williams and Senior Camp officials.
The Commandant commended the National Youth Service Corps for the role it plays in national integration and nation building.
The visit according to Major General Omoigui was to appreciate the scheme for collaborating with the Nigeria Army in her programmes and also for the purpose of familiarization.
He noted that the NYSC which is a creation of the military is still very relevant despite the security challenges we face presently as he assured the State Coordinator of the commands full support
The State coordinator who played host to the Military Generals stressed the need to consolidate on the gains made in carrying out the programmes and activities of the two national agency expressed gratitude for all the previous supports rendered to the Scheme during orientation programmes in the state by the Nigeria Army Record, Lokoja led by Maj. General O.w Ali.
She called for more protection for Corps members at their places of Primary Assignments and Corps Lodge’s across the State as their safety is sacrosanct to the management and officials of the Scheme.
Meanwhile, the Director-General of Land Forces Simulation Centre Nigeria (LFSCN) has commended the zeal and efforts of the State Coordinator, Mrs. Williams stating that to whom much is given much is expected and that she has by receiving them and track record proven herself worthy to be saddled with this great responsibility of coordinating the affairs of NYSC in the State.
He pledge his unwavering support for to the achievement of the Scheme’s objective stating, “I am willing to provide all necessary supports in whatever capacity.”
The General reassured that the synergy which has always existed between the Corps and the Scheme will be further strengthened by him as long as he was in charge.
He praised the Kogi state Coordinator for doing a great job in managing the affairs of Corps members in the Orientation Camp, stating that reports from his Army’s about the management of the Scheme and Soldiers have always been positive.
Conclusively, Mrs Williams, stated that she was really encouraged by the words of the the Commandant. She expressed her gratitude to the Military General by presenting to him Customized NYSC Bottled Water produced by the scheme as a source of revenue and NYSC Magazine Publications/Compendium on the NYSC Scheme.
