Crisis At Okene Central Mosque, No Arrest Yet; Hon. Abdulrazaq

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Security Matters in charge of Okene Local Government, Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammad wish to debunk the rumour making round especially on social media that some persons arrested in connection with the crisis at Okene Central mosque have been released on the orders of the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pharm. Abdulkareem Asuku.

Hon. Abdulrazaq wish to state clearly that no person or group of persons was arrested and the Chief of Staff never gave such order as investigation is still on going. The security agencies rose up to the task and professionally ensured the lives of the congregants in the mosque were secured. They are on top of the situation and relative peace has been restored.

Hon. Abdulrazaq being the Chief Security Officer of the council has ordered joint security patrol within Okene metropolis while the central mosque is under special protection by the security agencies. He assured the people especially the muslims to go about their normal lawful businesses without fear as the outcome of the security investigation will be implemented by the government.
