Pastor Dapo Olumuyiwa, the State Pastor of Living Faith Church (LFC) Lokoja, has urged Christians to lift up the nation on their various prayer altars as they celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Olumuyiwa gave the Advice on Friday in Lokoja to mark ‘Good Friday’ which symbolises the death of Jesus Christ.
The cleric urged Christians and Nigerians at large to lift up the nation through intercession on their various prayer altars to overcome the dreaded Covid-19 pandemic and other challenges facing the country.
He admonished Christian faithful to be righteous, obedient and loving to one another as they celebrate the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Olumuyiwa said that Jesus’ primary focus was heaven, but that didn’t stop Him from meeting daily needs of the people of His days.
“In short, Jesus ministered to their soul, spirit and body; and there was a time he had to serve food,” the cleric said.
He commended Kogi State Government for lifting the ban placed on religious activities in the state, saying it was a welcome development and bold spiritual step.
“We know that everything in the physical has its roots in the spiritual.
“As the political authorities are taking steps to stem the spread of this COVID-19, the doctors and other medical personnel with scientists are working round the clock to find a lasting solution from their fields of speciality.
”It is also reasonable that some of us in the priesthood call on God to intervene in our affairs.
”At the end of the day, we adopt multiple fights against this common enemy called COVID-19.
“The end result is that we will rejoice together and our nation will move forward,”Olumuyiwa said
