IPAC gets new Executives in Kogi

Hon. Ilyas Badanga has been elected as the interim committee chairman, Inter-Party Advisory Council, IPAC, in Kogi State.

Badanga who is from Zenith Labour Party, ZLP, was elected alongside six others from different political parties in an election held in Lokoja on Wednesday.

In his acceptance speech, Hon. Badanga promised to carry all political parties along towards achieving the goals of IPAC in Kogi state.

He assured that, under his leadership, IPAC would continue to engage the state government by bringing out policy oriented programs, that would better the lives of its citizenry.

” Local Government election is around the corner. We must join hands together to see how we are going to move Kogi State to an enviable height. We should all join hands together to ex-chew politics of bitterness.

“For those of you that contested with me and my other excos, we are all winners and no loser. All we should be thinking right now is to pushing for a better Kogi State and not our own selfish interest.

“Am using this medium to call on every individual to caution their wards as the state prepares for the forthcoming local Government election. We are also charging the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission, KOSIEC, to be up and doing and avoid being used by some fraudulent individuals to manipulate the forthcoming polls.

” All we are advocating for in the state is a free, fair and credible election. We are very optimistic that they would meet up to this task ahead. On our part, we would always advice our teeming supporters, not to engage themselves in any act that could dent the peace of our dear state. “.

The new executive of IPAC in Kogi State are Hon Ilyas Badanga, Zenith Labour Party, ZLP, Chairman, Ahmadu Usman, Social Democratic Party, SDP, Secretary, and Muhammed Kabir, People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Treasurer.

Others are Onaji James, Action Alliance, AA, Publicity Secretary, Ibrahim Usman, Labour Party, LP, Financial Secretary, Haj. Jumai Isah, National Rescue Movement, NRM, Organizing Secretary and Ojima Onaji, NNPP, Youth Policy Adviser.

Our correspondent reports that, the interim committee is expected to pilot the affairs of IPAC till December, 2020.
