LG Poll: APC Female Councilorship Aspirant Woos Ward Excos
… Promising to provide quantitative representation
Ahead of the Local Government Elections in Kogi State, a frontline aspirant under the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC) for the Councilorship position to represent Egbeda Ward in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Legislative Council, Comrade Florence Omobosede Aiyekomogbon has woo stakeholders of the ward to throw their weight behind her aspirations.
She disclosed this in a meeting with the ward Executives of the All Progressive Congress, (APC) in the ward yesterday to officially declare her intention to contest.
She said, her aspirations is gear toward qualitative service delivery to the people, noting that she posses the cognate experiences and expertise to take the ward to another level of development and recognition among commite of wards in not only Kogi State but the entire nation as whole.
According to her, her desire to represent the ward at the local level was bore out of her genuine intention to render selfless services to the people.
She promised not to let the party down if given opportunity to fly the flag of the party, stressing that her candidature is a sure belt for the party in the forthcoming Local Government polls.
Comrade Florence pledged her loyalty to the leadership of Rt Hon. Prince Matthew Kolawole and Hon. Ade Olamife in both the ward and local government respectively.
She urged the people to continue to observe the social distancing rules, promote personal hygiene, to wash and sanitizes their hands regularly to curtail the spread of the deadly coronavirus pandemic, commended Governor Yahaya Bello for keeping the state safe, praying that God will not allow the state to have any case before the pandemic will be rooted out of Nigeria.
Responding on behalf of the other party Executives, the Ward Chairman, Chief Kobere eulogized the aspirant for her mature way of playing politics.
According to him, at appropriate time, the leadership of the party will meet and decide on the way forward, promised to ensure level playing ground for all that finally obtain the party nomination and expression of interest forms.
