Make Your Parents Proud, Acquire Skills, Education, Senator Oseni Charge Kogi Youth
Senator Yakubu Oseni representing the Kogi Central Senatorial District has charged youth to make their parents proud by engaging themselves on skill acquisition and exhibition of characters that would make the society a better place for all citizens to live.
The lawmaker gave the charge on Thursday when a group under the aegis of KOCMAS Youth Association of Nigeria for GYB2PYB President paid him a visit in his office in Abuja.
Senator Oseni who expressed appreciation to the leadership and members of the group for the visit, said youth who are the leaders of tomorrow should acquire sound education and engaged in skill acquisition to be a better citizens that can stand on their own in future.
He added that hand work and a better education is the only way the youth can triumph in life and urged them to look inward for better tomorrow.
Earlier in his address the President of KOCMAS Comrade Siyaka Onivori Salihu flanked by his Secretary General Mallam Adam Zikirullahi commended the Senator for his laudable empowernment programme aimed at engaging the youth to be self reliance and be employer of labour.
Salihu who stated that members of their association are yet to benefit from the lawmaker’s empowernment and employment programme, noted that they will continue to support the effort of the Senator, saying such effort will remove youth from restiveness and other social vices that are inimical to their future.
While appealing to the Senator to consider the association for his next empowernment programme, the President of the group declared unalloyed support to the Senator and told him to bear in mind that 2023 is around the corner, saying the association is ever ready to support him for another term in the national assembly.
He prayed to God Almighty to protect and guide the Senator aright in whatever goals he set to achieve.
