
The new Executive members for Ogaminana Central Community Development Association (OCCDA) have been sworn-in with a charge to them to be exemplary and above board in the task of piloting the affairs of the Association.
Swearing-in the Executive at a crowded ceremony at Late Alh. Sule Obaito compound in Ogaminana on Sunday 20th February, 2022, the Secretary of Adavi Joint Community Development Association, Mall. Abdulrahaman A. Ibrahim, reminded them to borrow leaf from Adavi Joint to deal with emerging issues objectively with unity of purpose in their selfless service to their fatherland.
He commended all Community Development Associations in Adavi LGA for their relentless efforts to make the area a model in Kogi Central Senatorial District where sustainable peace is their watchword.
The newly inaugurated executive has Mall. Ahmed Fanika Isah as Chairman, with Mr. Ezekiel M. Salami – Auditor, Mrs. Asmawu Aroke – Women Leader, Suleiman Abdullahi as youth leader, Mall. Shaibu Ahmed – Secretary, Alh. Ahmed Hassan – Treasurer and George Ibrahim as Assistant Secretary where Musa Odere and Adinoyi as PRO 3 and 2 among others.
In his speech, the new Chairman, Mall. Ahmed F. Isah commended the founding fathers of the Ogaminana Community and assured the people that they will not derail in the confidence reposed in them to serve their fatherland.
He called on well meaning sons and daughters of the area not to sit on the fence but joined hands with the Community Executive to make the area peaceful and move it forward in the comity of Community Development Associations in Ebiraland.
The OCCDA Chairman then appreciated all those that attended the occasion for their sacrifice and contributions to make it a success.
The Chairman of the occasion, Hon. Abdulmajeed Okomanyi praised the initiative of Adavi people for their steadfastness in Community Development which has attracted peace and development to the area.
Hon. Abdulmajeed Okomanyi then promised to repair the broken down boreholes sunk by his Late father, Alh. Salawu Okomanyi in the late 90s at Idozionogu and Idatochi to make them functional.
He reminded the people to continue to maintain and sustain peaceful co-existence being enjoyed in the area to attract developmental projects from Government and well to do individual sons and daughters from the area.
Speaking, the Executive Chairman of Adavi LGA, Hon. Joseph Omuya Salami appreciated Adavi people and Ogaminana Community in particular for maintenance and sustenance of peaceful co-existence of all and advised the Executive to lead well devoid of politics.
Hon. Joseph Salami used the occasion to advise Adavi people to go out and obtain their Permanent Voters Card and reminded each Community in the area to form Community Policing (Local Vigilante) to complement the activities of the conventional security agents and urged Adavi people to stop home burial as request for permission for home burial has to undergo due process.
The Council Chairman restated his commitment for quality and purposeful leadership and urged the new Community Executive to prepare for sacrifices in their task to serve their area.
In their goodwill messages, Mall. Usman Adaviriku, Hon. Al-Sulyman Yahaya Onokus and Mr. Ezekiel M. Salami applauded Ogaminana people for their unity of purpose and reminded the people to sustain the good legacies of the founding fathers of the area.
