Ohikere Okays The Appeal Court Judgment, Trivializes The Statement Issued By The State PDP Faulting Its Judgement

Following the controversial publication in a statement issued by the Kogi state chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) challenging the appeal court verdict on Saturday that affirmed Yahaya Bello as the Kogi state Governor, PDP and its candidate Musa Wada said the judgment was a travesty of justice and threatened to claim it at the supreme court.

Tom Ohikere, a former Commissioner of Information of Kogi and stakeholder of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in a press release described PDP as corrupt party who are bent at cutting corners to get mandate but has failed in the case of Kogi Governorship because the good people of the state who voted Yahaya Bello into office knows what they want having tested Bello for the first term confirmed his credibility and capacity to lead the state to the next level of economic prosperity.

“PDP is known for falsehood without prove, money bagged politics, and all sorts of irregularities”

Recall, Justice Haruna Tsamani who delivered the lead judgment held that the appellants merely dumped their documents on the tribunal without calling relevant witnesses to link the documents to the allegation of over-voting, hence held that the allegations of over-voting, multiple thumb-printing, and results falsification were not proved by the appellants and therefore affirmed Yahaya Bello as the Kogi state Governor.

So PDP’s Wada and his group should stop wasting borrowed money over a futile case and join hands to build the state if he ever meant well for the state as he claimed, its clear that GYB won the election unquestionably and the appeal court has also confirmed Bello as the valid winner of the election.
