Post Covid-19: How we can strengthen Ou Economy
Mr Ajay Oluwafemi Kayode , the Managing Director of AMAZON SYSTEMS SOLUTIONS LTD, has called on the government to streamline existing policy measures to support the informal sector.
That, he said, would provide the private sector the needed assistance to grow and contribute to the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to enhance development.
Mr Ajayi Oluwafemi, in an interview with Cascades news recently, said the COVID-19 had added on to the relevance of the informal sector, which had produced protective items such as nose masks, hand sanitizers, and veronica buckets.
“The pandemic has brought to the fore the need for industries to be given support in order to reduce unemployment in the country to achieve some of the Sustainable Economic Development ” Mr Ajayi said.
He urged government not to relent in its efforts at promoting skills training through technical, vocational education and training.
Mr Oluwafemi said AMAZON SYSTEMS SOLUTIONS LTD will readily partner with Government at all levels in Skills development for the youthful population to attain economic growth and development.
“Post COVID-19, would be a great avenue to rebuild our national economy through vocational training and skills development scheme .”
He advised the public to learn one vocation or the other, which could boost their incomes.
Mr Oluwafemi commended the federal government on her efforts at combating the spread of Covid-19 and for sustaining the domestic Economy in the face of the current challenges.
He further called on the Government to make fiscal loan scheme available for small and medium business to access in other to boost the economy.
He said that all the needed efforts must be sustained to keep the private sector in business and create job opportunities for the citizenry.
