Our reporter has gathered that the court restraining order preventing the Otunba of Mopa, Chief David Saul Olojo from leading Mopa King Makers to coronate or install a new Elulu of Mopa has been struck out.

Recall that Otunba Olojo led Mopa King Makers to coronate and install Oba Muyiwa Ibeun as the 4th Elulu of Mopaland on Thursday 17th of May.

Investigation in a document revealed that in a judgement signed by the Assistant Chief Registrar, Mr. Hassan Gimba Shuaibu, the court granted the prayer of the applicant, represented by A.O. Jonathan seeking the withdrawal of the Motion: HC/KK/014M/2025.

Which invariably means the court approves that a successor should be coronated to succeed the Late Elulu, His Royal Majesty Julius Funsho Joledo.

Recall that the Mopa King Makers has already selected and nominated Oba Muyiwa Ibeun as Elulu-elect before the court injuction.

The court granted the prayer as there were no objection from the defendat’s counsel, and hereby struck out the case.

The document further revealed that the application for withdrawal was because the 1st respondent (Otunba of Mopa, David Saul Olojo) filled a counter affidavit challenging the court injuction.

Investigation also shows that some section of Mopa people and the general public has been misled by some persons who have inordinate ambition or may have contested the selection process with Oba Ibeun, this reportage should make the records straight.

The reporter also gathered the adoted group name “Patriotic Youth for Good Leadership” is not known and neither registered nor exists in Mopa, Kogi State or Nigeria and anywhere.
