Winner of little Miss Kogi Culture Ambassador meets Deputy Speaker, eulogize her contributions for humanity

The winner of the maiden edition of little Miss Kogi culture ambassador Preciousgold Lewis has showered encomium on the Deputy Speaker of the State Assembly Rt. Hon. Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola Ewagba for her immense contributions to the people of Kogi State and Nigeria in general.

Little Miss Lewis, who paid a courtesy visit to the Kogi State House of Assembly Deputy Speaker on Wednesday described her as a virtuous woman who keeps sacrificing her life for Nigerians to succeed.

While acknowledging that Rt. Hon. Egwaba is a great philosopher, woman with vision, and logical thought, the little Miss Kogi culture ambassador intimated the number two person in the Kogi State House of Assembly that, she is coming up with an upcoming pet project tagged ” Kogi Children Cultural Quiz Competition” which will be first of it kind in the history of Nigeria.


Continuing, the JSS 1 Student of Governor Yahaya Bello Model Science Secondary School Lokoja said ” It gladdens my heart standing before you today, based on your past record I and my team view you as a woman of esteem personality.

” Your love and struggle for humanity cannot be over emphasized. You are a philosopher, and a woman with vision and logical thought. Your beauty is second to none. Ma, without missing words, you are beautiful inside and outside. I am bold to say this before you that your personality is one in a million, and may your reign be long ma.

“As the contestant of little miss Kogi beauty pageant, an event which took place on the 6th of April 2024 at the glass house, out of 21 contestant I was privilege to be crown the first “little Miss Kogi Culture Ambassador.”

“I want to say a very big thank you for your Motherly love, advise, prayers and kindhearted support that has brought me this far. May almighty God continue to reward you beyond measures (Amen).

“I intend to carry out lots of activities which will be beneficiary to the People of Kogi State especially. For my constituency, which is Children, I am planning to organize Kogi Children Cultural Quiz Competition” which is first of its kind in the history of Kogi and Nigeria at large.

“I am coming up with this pet project because Children from our observation are already carried away with the presence of technological advancement as they have neglected our cultural value which has been in existence for centuries.

“It is no longer news that some of our Children which I belong to no longer care about their cultures and traditions which is very disturbing. With this upcoming programme, we are aiming at bringing back the consciousness of culture into the mind of the children.

“The winners of this competition are expected to go home with lots of price gift to enable them learn more about our traditions which is our heritage. With this type of laudable event, Kogi State for sure will become the talk of other states. It is to this end I need your total mentorship, support and guidance to enable us achieve success”.

Responding, the Deputy Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola Egwaba applauded the new little cultural ambassador for emerging victorious in the maiden competition in the State.

Rt. Hon. Egwaba who promised to support the little cultural ambassador in her projects and programmes admonished her to remain focused, dedicated and not distracted in achieving her goals life.

She said “I am very delighted to received this young, beautiful damsel and her team in my office today. No doubt, our cultural value today has been relegated to background because of many factors. We shouldn’t loose hope, as it is our collective effort to bring back the good things about our culture and traditions.

“Am very elated that, this young girl is coming up with this laudable project. For me, I will give all the maximum support for this project to see the light of the day. I won’t relent in contributing my own quota for the development of my constituency Ibaji, the people of Kogi State and the nation at large. I remain committed in the preservation of our cultural heritage. Nigeria is a great nation. We must not fold our arms to allow what is a symbol of us die a natural death”.
