The people of Kogi LGA today came out in their numbers to celebrate the Supreme Court victory of Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo, also decided to support him for second term.

According to the people of Kogi LGA, the decision was hinged on Gov. Ododo’s leadership style, pointing out that his prompt payment of Salary, security architecture and infrastructural development since assumption of office remains unprecedented.

Thus far, Kogi LGA has by their massive support and endorsement has become the first LGA in the State to endorse the second term for Governor Ododo.

Speaking at the celebration ground held in Gegu Beki, Engr. Bashir Gegu said the Seven months of Governor Ododo has been fruitful and rewarding, said despite the court processes and distractions, Kogites are happy with him, pointing out that it is not early for the 2027 permutations.

“I know the Governor is focused on bringing dividends of democracy to Kogi citizens and that will not stop Kogi citizens to pray for his second term because of his provision of quality leadership”.

In another development 200 PDP and SDP members from the Local Government have defected to APC in Omoko community of Chikara South Ward.

The deflectors hinged their defection to the leadership style of Governor Ododo, described Engr. Bashir Gegu as a shining star in the LGA, said they have resolved to rally behind him towards gaining more dividends of democracy.

In a statement signed by Hon. Osama Omoko and issued to Newsmen, assured that Kogi local Government remains in the forefront to supporting the APC led administration led by Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo in the State and Engr. Bashiru Gegu in Kogi LGA to massively drum and support the APC led administration in the State, described Kogi LGA and the State as an APC domain.
