Yesterday, Mopamuro people came out en masse to demonstrate yet again their love, support, and trust in me. It was overwhelming. I am deeply humbled.
I want to return all glory to God almighty for the journey so far. It has been grace all through.
To His Excellency Alhaji Usman Ododo, The Executive Governor of Kogi State a worthy successor of the pragmatic former Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello, I owe unreserved gratitude and loyalty as I hope to play my part in building the Kogi of our dreams through developing Mopamuro LG.
I used to say God’s greatest gift to me is blessing me with supportive people at every stage of my life. This particular journey was made possible by people whom I will never be able to thank enough, some from different tongues and tribe.
To the leaders of the party in Mopamuro, His Excellency Arch. Yomi Awoniyi, Hon Chief Femi Fanwo, Commissioner for Media and Publicity, Hon Olawumi Jacob, Member Representing Mopamuro State Constituency and other leaders and stakeholders of the party who has not only shown love but supported our campaign with resources , I am short of words to describe how grateful I am.
I must publicly appreciate Mopamuro Royal Fathers under the Chairmanship of HRM Oba Muyiwa Ibeun, The Elulu of Mopa land, the Alamuro of Amuro, HRM Oba Modupe Aiyedogbon and all other Royal Fathers for their support and readiness to work with us especially in synergy to tackle our most challenging issue today- Insecurity. Our approach has worked during my term as the Chairman Transition Committee. I have no doubt that it will work again, even more.
To all Mopamuro people who supported us, I say thank you and thank you. What else have I to say than to say thank you for always being there. It is our victory, and I promise not to disappoint.
I must commend KOSIEC for ensuring hassle free elections. We are proud of you.
Let me humbly say that though the victory came without much opposition, I would not take that for granted. It is my prayer to God that I sustain the confidence and trust Mopamuro people invested in me and use this opportunity to convince the other few still not in our field that I can do it! I can manage their resources to the benefits of us all by God’s enablemment throughout the journey that lies ahead.
It is our Mopamuro. I will be your servant just as our Governor.
